The 93rd Annual Meeting of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) was held September 12-17, 2011 at the Philadelphia Convention Center. PBHS has continued to support the AAOMS by exhibiting at the Annual Meeting for well over a decade. This year we participated as a silent auction donor. The exhibit area was constantly bustling as current and new clients from all over the world stopped to discuss PBHS’s products and services for marketing their oral surgery practice. It would be safe to say the buzz this year was all about PBHS’s new iPad app version of the iConsultOMS service. Interested parties gathered around PBHS’s many representatives who were able to demonstrate the app’s features, now available on Apple’s app store. An exciting highlight for PBHS was the chance to raffle some very hot commodities. We appreciate the many entries received and the time that each person spent in our booth. The three lucky drawing winners were: Drs. Michael Block, Eric Wachs and Kyle Tracy. Each winner received an iConsultOMS Services user license and a free Apple iPad™ 2 . PBHS’s giveaways (including light-up lanyards, full sized candy bars and even fortune cookies) could be found throughout the conference hall. The AAOMS meeting was an opportunity to showcase PBHS’s inForm, an email and social media marketing system that made its debut early this year. Oral surgeons can use the platform to send periodic newsletters to their referring doctors as well as keep their patient based social media presence up-to-date. Attendees favorite feature was the rich article library that takes the guesswork out of building an engaging email and/or social media campaign. As always, our dental website design department saw a huge influx of new clients from the show. Both fully custom and semi-custom websites were huge hits. PBHS’s time-tested truForm (online patient registration and referral system) continued to appeal to both new clients and long-time clients looking to facilitate a more paperless office and eliminate data entry for their front desk. Search Engine Optimization is a highly sought after service as oral surgeons need to effectively promote their expertise in dental implant and dentoalveolar surgery. The most popular question – “How can I get to the top of Google?” PBHS promoted high end Organic Optimization, Pay Per Click Advertising as well as popular Social Media Marketing via Facebook, Twitter and PBHS Inform. Overall, the 2011 AAOMS Annual Meeting was a huge success for PBHS and we eagerly look forward to seeing you at next year’s meeting in San Diego, CA.
