PBHS is currently only providing website hosting services for you, and because of this, some of the settings on your domain name are not pointing to PBHS. In order to get the SSL set up, we will need to change the settings on your domain name. You will most likely need to ask your IT person for help with this next step.
The first question is whether you and/or your IT person want PBHS to have control over your nameserver settings. If you do, please select “I’ll change to PBHS nameservers” in the question below.
To install an SSL certificate on your website, we will need to change the name server settings for your domain name (your website address). They are not currently managed by PBHS, most likely due to your email being hosted by another company. In order to proceed, we will need to duplicate your domain name settings so we do not interrupt your email or other service before changing the name servers. Please email us a copy of the name server entries (sometimes called DNS entries) from the current name servers.
Additionally, we will need the login info for where your domain is currently registered, so we can change the nameserver settings:
NOTICE: Upon clicking submit you will get an email confirming this request. You may need to ask your IT person or registrar for help. Please email the DNS entries to [email protected]. We cannot proceed without this information.
To install an SSL on your website, you will need to have the name servers changed to Cloudflare. These accounts are free, but you must create your own account to retain full control over nameservers. PBHS cannot support this process for you.
Once you have set up your account, you'll need to enter the following "A Records" to ensure that your website does not go down: @ and www should point to 126.96.36.199 (for semi-custom sites) or 188.8.131.52 (for custom sites). These are in addition to the ones you’ll need for your email or other services, which PBHS does not provide for you.
NOTICE: Upon clicking submit you will get an email confirming these instructions. You may need to enlist the help of your IT person. Please let us know by email to [email protected] when this is complete so we can review and update your site accordingly.
By clicking submit I agree to a one-time setup fee of $49 to be charged to my credit card on file. Fee will be charged upon completion of setup.
