PBHS Client, Dr. Armin Abron, Website Featured in the AAP News

A constantly changing montage of smiling, attractive people greets visitors to the Web site of Dr. Armin Abron's periodontal practice in Southern Pines, NC. "Our first and foremost intent is to demonstrate high-quality treatment in a friendly and caring environment," stated Dr. Abron. "Most patients have complimented us on the Web site and have found the information helpful regarding what to expect from their appointment with us."
Before developing his site, Dr. Abron interviewed several Web design firms and reviewed their previous work before selecting PBHS (pbhs.com), which specializes in sites for dental and medical practices.
"PBHS helped us pick a logo and design which were to our liking and asked us to provide information about the doctor, our office and staff, and the procedures we offer," recalls Dr. Abron. Because of prior experience designing perio sites, PBHS was able to provide detailed explanations of most procedures in patient-friendly language.
Since DrAbron.com was launched, patients have been informed about the Web site through the practice's welcome letter. They are encouraged to refer to the site if they have any specific questions about the treatment they will be receiving or have already received. Dr. Abron has found that after visiting his site, "patients are comforted by knowing what to expect, and most of their questions and concerns are answered."
The site includes all the forms for a patient's first visit. In addition, new patients can take an online photo tour of Dr. Abron's office and read informative answers to frequently asked questions. The site also has information and a form for referring GPs, as well as a schedule for the study club Dr. Abron leads for local hygienists.
To colleagues starting to plan their own practice Web sites, Dr. Abron's advice is to "make sure that you choose a service provider that has a record of working with other periodontal offices."
