E-mail Setup with Outlook Express

You can set up Microsoft Outlook Express to check your e-mail for you. In order to do so you must first set up Outlook so that it will know how to access your mail. To do so first start Outlook Express.

  1. Go up to the Tools menu and choose accounts.




  2. Click on the Mail tab




  3. Click on the add button on the side, and from the menu that pops up, choose mail.

4. Type in your name and click on next.



5. Now enter in your e-mail address.



6. Here you will want to choose POP3 for the first selection. In the two subsequent boxes type in mail.your_url. For instance if your site was www.orthodontist.com you would type mail.orthodontist.com. Click on next to proceed.



7. Now you enter in your user name and password, then click next.



8. Now enter in your name again. Click Next.



9. Now choose your connection type. If you are using a modem through a phoneline
choose the first option. If you are on through a network or DSL line choose the
second option. Click the Next button to continue.



10. Now choose the dial up connection you use to connect to the internet.
Click on Next to continue.



11. Your e-mail account setup is finish. Click on Finish to finalize the setup. Now
to check your mail, go to the top and click on the Send and Receive button.
