Frequently Asked Questions

About Email

How do I check my email?

You can use email software (such as Outlook Express) or a web browser (such as Internet Explorer).

About Online Forms

How do I receive a form that someone has filled out on my website?

If you have purchased TruForm, you will have the ability to receive a completed digital copy of patient forms or referral forms on your website. We will email you someone completes a form, so you know when to log in and view or print a newly completed form. View instructions for administering your online forms system.

About My Website

I don't like scrolling pages while I'm surfing. What can I do to reduce the scrolling?

You may want to adjust the resolution of your monitor. We recommend configuring your monitor to 32-bit color (true color) at 1024 x 768 (standard PC settings) or or higher for the best viewing experience. Settings vary depending on the system you are using.

PC

  1. Go to the START menu, choose "Settings" and select "Control Panel".
  2. Double-click DISPLAY and select "Settings".
  3. Drag the slide bar in the SCREEN area until the numbers read 1024 X 768. Under COLORS, select "High Color" (32 bit).
  4. Click "OK".

Macintosh

  1. Under the "Apple" menu, select "System Preferences" and then "Displays".
  2. Under "Resolutions", select 10240 x 768 (or higher), and under "Colors" select Millions.

For more detailed instructions, please consult the documentation that came with your monitor.

The content of my page is not fully loaded or I don't see the changes I requested on my site. Is there a problem?

You may need to clear your cache. Your cache is a storage area on your computer. When you visit a Website, the pages you view are stored in your cache. Thus, when you return to that page, your browser can quickly retrieve the file from your computer as opposed to having to find the same file again on the Internet.

For instance, if you visit your own site under construction at www.pbhs.com on Wednesday and your designer makes a change to your home page on Thursday. You return on Friday. If you did not clear your cache, you may see Wednesday's version of your home page, as your browser will retrieve the home page from your cache. If your cache is cleared, you will see a version of the home page that was updated on Thursday.

Consult the "Help" section of your browser for instructions on how to clear the cache on your computer, or follow these instructions.

Many PBHS sites also use Flash and QuickTime plug-ins. If they are not already installed on your computer, we recommend you download these plug-ins for optimal site viewing.

How do I optimize my AOL browser?

We suggest the following:

  1. Go to My AOL at the top of the page.
  2. Click "Preferences".
  3. Click "WWW".
  4. Under "Web Preferences", uncheck the "Use Compressed Graphics" box.
  5. Under "Cache", select "Empty Cache Now".
  6. Click "OK".
