Removing WinDVD and
Installing a Free DVD Player in Windows 2000

To watch the PBHS/OMSNIC Informed Consent DVD on a PC you must uninstall WinDVD and Install another DVD Player.

  1. Open My Computer and then open Control Panel.

  2. Click on the Add/Remove Programs Icon

  3. Select WinDVD and click on the Change/Remove button.

WinDVD is now uninstalled and you have several options for new compatible DVD Players on your system which are listed below.

OPTION #1

Download SuperDVD Player.
Save it to your Desktop then double click it to open and install.

Note: This is a "shareware" application. You may use it for free, however, each time you start the application you will be asked to register. The DVD will only work inside the SuperDVD Player and not in Windows Media Player if you choose this solution.

OPTION #2

Download CliprexDVD Player.
Save it to your Desktop then double click it to open and install. Follow the setup steps for the program.(This is several screens. Click the Yes or Next button for all.)

You may now use the Windows Media Player or Cliprex DS to view your DVD.

Note: This application is "freeware" and will install other advertisers' programs "spyware" onto your system. These other applications may create popups in your internet browser or redirect you to alternate internet sites. These "spyware" applications can be uninstalled separately from the player in your "Add / Remove Applications" section of the "Control Panel" in "My Computer".

OPTION #3

Download PowerDVD Trial Player.
This will take you to a download page for the trial version of PowerDVD. After you download double click the file to open and install.

Note: This program is a demo and will only run for 14 days before requiring you to purchase.
