TruForm FAQs

Q: How do I know that TruForm is secure?
A: TruForm follows HIPAA compliancy rules to ensure the security of your patient’s data. You can verify this for yourself in two ways:
1. Review the security ticket once you open the form.
2. Reference the URL of the form. Notice the “s” in https://? It is short for Secure Sockets Layer, a protocol developed by Netscape for transmitting private documents via the Internet. SSL uses a cryptographic system that uses two keys to encrypt data − a public key known to everyone and a private or secret key known only to the recipient of the message. PBHS TruForm uses the protocol to obtain confidential user information, such as credit card numbers and patient data just the same as online banking. By convention, URLs that require an SSL connection start with https instead of http.

Q: Why can’t I/my patients open TruForm?
A: Please Reference out Technical Notes for TruForm:
PC Users:
Our online form uses the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader plug-in to conveniently submit the form from home or work. Please download the free plug-in from Adobe’s web site if it is not already installed on your system. It is important that you have at the latest version of the plug-in to successfully use our online form.
Mac Users:
You must open and submit the form in a Safari Browser with the latest Mac operating system. It is also important to have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer in order to submit your form to our office correctly, please download the free plug-in from Adobe’s web site. You Must OPEN the Adobe Reader Application after installation and make Adobe Reader your DEFAULT SAFARI PLUGIN for Viewing PDF Files.

Q: Why am I seeing this error: “see error_opening_URL.pdf”?
A: If the form doesn’t open up in your internet browser PC – Internet Explorer MAC- Safari then you do not have the adobe reader 9.0 or higher browser plug-in.
In the example above, this is a form that opens directly in the application adobe reader. Once you try and click submit, you will get an error as the submission process can only take place if you in a internet browser window.

Q: I am noticing the pulling session for forms taking a long time, why is this?
A: You are probably using Practice Works PMS. Here is a diagram to help you understand the Integration better:
PROCESS:
Your software is set on an automatic timer and will connect to our PBHS server and collect all forms in that directory and bring them back into your Practice Works queue. The Practice Works software only connects to the PBHS server to retrieve any forms in the PBHS queue (the files in the PBHS queue are copies of the mypbhs files‐ mypbhs is strictly for you to print out any forms). Unfortunately this integration process contains a bug that prevents the update of the PBHS queue and removing patients that have been deleted or converted, this is why PBHS needs to update the queue ON THE PBHS SERVER END.
SOLUTION:
Each office will email our TruForm programmer once (truform@pbhs.com) They will then delete the queue every other day. The new WinOMSCS software update 8.1 will be coming out soon, which will take care of this issue within the software.

Where did you get your blog layout from? I’d like to get one like it for my blog.

Hi Aaron!
Thanks so much for the compliment. The layout was actually designed in-house by one of our web designers. It was created to match our website, http://www.pbhs.com so you probably don’t want a layout that looks like our site! But if you are interested in custom site design, that IS our business
