At PBHS we are often asked by our dental website design clients, “What is SEO?” Search engine optimization (SEO) is a method used for online marketing- more specifically, the process of making a website and its content highly relevant to the search terms the owner wants to be found for. Search engines are looking to give the searcher results which are established as “authorities” on the subject of the search. Search engines base their rankings on an algorithm (mathematical equation) that the engine’s robots use to “crawl” web pages. Typically, an online searcher usually clicks on the first few sites in the results list to explore their options- our job is to get a practice to those top spots.
